I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about my practices.
Data Collection
My apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
- I do not collect any personally identifiable information
- I do not track your usage or behavior
- I do not use analytics or tracking services
- I do not share any information you provide with third parties without your consent
- I do not display advertisements
Minor caveat: If you send me an email or submit content for an app, I will have your contact details, submission files, and any provided attribution info in my inbox/storage. I won't use that information for any purpose beyond responding to you, including your content in the app, and showcasing your credited name or handle.
User-Submitted Content & Contributions
- Data Access & Usage: When you voluntarily submit content (such as assets for Synthetic Time), I will receive and access that content. I use submitted content solely to include it in the app, related promotional material (such as screenshots on the Pebble app store listing), and the contributor credits on this website. I will not provide your submitted content to unrelated third parties except where necessary to publish the app or where required by law, without your explicit consent.
- Licensing & Rights: By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and grant me a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify where reasonably necessary (such as resizing, cropping, or format/colour conversion), distribute and display that content solely for the purposes described in this policy, for as long as the content is included in the app, its archived releases, or related promotional material.
- Commercial Intent: My apps are currently free, and I have no plans to charge for them. If that ever changes, I will not use any user-submitted content for commercial purposes without securing your explicit consent first.
- Attribution: Unless you instruct otherwise, I will use the details you provide (such as your name or social media handle) to credit you for your contribution. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate this clearly when making your submission. If you later wish to change or remove your attribution, please contact me and I'll make reasonable efforts to update future releases and website content. Ownership of your submitted content remains with you unless you explicitly agree otherwise.
DashRelay Specific Information
Notification Access Permission
DashRelay requires notification access permission to detect which apps are currently playing media. This permission is used exclusively for:
- Detecting active media sessions from other apps
- Retrieving media metadata (title, artist, album) for display
- Controlling media playback (play, pause, skip, etc.)
Important: DashRelay does not read the content of your notifications. It only uses notification access to identify media sessions and retrieve media controls and metadata required for playback. No notification data is stored, logged, or transmitted.
Local Storage
DashRelay stores the following data locally on your device:
- Your app preferences and settings
- List of apps you've chosen to hide from Android Auto
- Cached app icons for display purposes
This data never leaves your device and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.
Permissions Explained
My apps may request the following permissions:
- Notification Access: To detect and control media playback from other apps (DashRelay)
- Foreground Service: To maintain media session while running (DashRelay)
- Media Session Control: To control media playback (DashRelay)
Third-Party Services
My apps do not integrate with third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data collection services.

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
